The NKY Beekeeping Coop (NKYBC) is a band of beekeepers dedicated to:

• The preservation and propagation of the honey bee
• Research of the honey bee in the Northern KY area
• Education of the general public about the benefits of the honey bee
• Development of a strain of honey bees which will over-winter well, be resistant to mites, are gentle and are good honey producers
• Protection of our environment
• Assisting new beekeepers in becoming well-educated and trained in the art and science of beekeeping
